VA Medical Center Expand 8th Floor Mental Health and Lobby/Basement Addition

The Alliance|7GAE JV renovated the 8th floor of the main hospital building and demolished the ambulance garage for a 6,000 sf addition to the basement and lobby. The purpose of this project was to provide additional space for administration, staff support areas, a new building entry, coffee shop, as well as administrative areas for the mental health program, for a total of 21,120 sf combined addition and renovation. The project included complete telecommunication, horizontal, and backbone distribution systems, horizontal and vertical pathways consisting of conduit sleeves, J hooks, EMT conduit, pull boxes, pull cords, patch panels, cable management, telecommunication ground bus system, fire rated plywood backboards, and Category 6 rated UTP cabling.
