We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect / Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary federal facility projects from planning and concept development through final design and construction administration. This role serves as both a technical leader and trusted advisor to clients while managing project delivery, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, mentoring junior professionals, and supporting business development across the Department of Defense, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and other federal agencies. At Alliance, senior professionals have the opportunity to shape the firm’s future, not simply deliver projects. You will work directly with leadership, implement strategy, build lasting client relationships, and help develop the next generation of architects and engineers.

At Alliance, we believe the diversity of our team and projects are what make us successful. We approach every project with the intent to innovate and promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment. You will play a key role on the team, delivering both Design-Build (DB) and Design-Bid-Build (DBB) projects across multiple sectors. Your ability to provide guidance and technical expertise to customers and collaborate with project teams will directly support high-impact federal projects.

This position is full-time and requires authorization to work in the United States.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate the technical development of architectural projects, consulting with Project Managers and Principals, from conceptual design through construction
  • Seamlessly coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (architects, planners, designers, engineers), both internal and external partners, to ensure projects are executed successfully within project budgets
  • Develop architectural design concepts in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and participate in all design phase activities, providing expertise in detail development
  • Create presentation documents (illustrative graphics and visuals) and assist in business development efforts, presenting to leadership, stakeholders, partners, and customers
  • Assist and consult on engineering drawings and specifications for all project phases, ensuring that designs meet applicable building code requirements
  • Develop Revit models, lead BIM coordination, and lead interdisciplinary model integration

Qualifications

  • Licensed Architect (RA) required
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience providing architectural quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), conceptual design, space and site planning, and architectural design services
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited program
  • Proficiency with industry-standard software, including but not limited to AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited program
  • NCARB Certificate
  • Design-Build experience
  • Experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) or other federal agencies
  • Experience supporting healthcare facilities and project types
  • Adobe Creative Cloud

Benefits

  • Full-time, competitive salary
  • 100% paid medical, dental & vision insurance for employee coverage
  • 401(k) retirement plan with matching
  • 20 vacation days plus 8 holidays
  • Annual bonus plan
  • Professional development stipend for approved training, certifications, etc.
  • Clear path for career advancement
