Senior Civil Engineer

We are seeking a passionate Senior Civil Engineer to design and manage a broad selection of projects, in support of our federal customers. This role encompasses Site Civil, Transportation, and Water Resources; however, expertise in all disciplines is not required. The Civil Engineer must be able to demonstrate the ability to think critically and spearhead design projects independently. Support areas include but are not limited to: Stormwater Management, Grading, Erosion and Sediment Control, Traffic Control, Signing, Marking, Roadway, and Utility Design.

This position is full-time and requires authorization to work in the United States. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead professional meetings and facilitate discussions with internal and external customers
  • Interview stakeholders, gather information and requirements, conduct analyses, and perform accurate calculations
  • Prepare design models, design reports, and presentation materials
  • Manage project deliverables and coordinate work with the design team and customers to ensure deadlines are met
  • Create and review drawings and specifications detailing the civil design for multiple concurrent projects
  • Collaborate closely with other senior-level engineers, architects, and leadership

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • 6 years of Civil Design experience (minimum) – AutoCAD, Civil3D
  • Ability to communicate high-level engineering concepts
  • Proven analytical and communication skills

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related
  • Additional software familiarity – Revit, VBA, TR-55, and others
  • Primary focus of study in one of the following disciplines – Site Civil, Transportation, or Water Resources
