Mid-Level Cost Estimator / Engineer

Alliance Consulting Group is seeking the ideal candidate to join our team as a Mid-Level Cost Estimator/Engineer. This is a full-time opportunity for someone with the experience and skillsets necessary to support our cost engineering and master planning efforts. Our cost estimators have extensive experience preparing cost estimates, risk assessments, and controls through the planning and design phases of the project life cycle. Alliance is looking for a mid-senior level Cost Engineer/Cost Lead in Alexandria, VA. The candidate will lead and support a multi-disciplinary team supporting construction projects for federal clients.

The responsibilities of this role will be dynamic and depending on the individual’s background, knowledge and experience may include:


  • Prepare cost estimates for each project phase: conceptual, schematic design, design development and construction documents for overseas construction projects and Independent Government Estimates (IGE) to facilitate contract negotiations
  • Creating accurate and complete cost estimates
  • Provide technical reviews of design, analysis, specifications
  • Change order analyses and reviews
  • Prepare material, equipment, and labor take-offs
  • Experience with DoD or other Federal organizations
  • Very strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Travel 10-20% CONUS and OCONUS

Required Qualifications:

  • Proof of United States citizenship is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience is required

  • -General Contractor or Construction Management experience
  • -Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus
  • -Certified Cost Professional (CCP) is a plus
