Civil Engineer

We are seeking a Mid-Level Civil Engineer to design and analyze a broad selection of Civil Engineering projects in support of federal customers. This role encompasses the following design discipline areas – Site Civil, Roadway, Grading, Stormwater Management, Erosion and Sediment Control, Temporary Traffic Control, Signing, Marking, Utility Design, and more. Proficiency in all disciplines is not required, but the Civil Engineer must be competent in multiple disciplines and demonstrate a willingness to apply oneself and learn. They will report directly to the Senior Civil Engineer and all project designs will be completed under supervision.

This position is full-time and requires United States Citizenship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare drawings and specifications detailing the civil design for multiple projects
  • Create detailed design reports and presentation materials
  • Participate in internal/external meetings and discussions
  • Gather information and requirements, interview stakeholders, perform calculations, and create design models
  • Coordinate work and collaborate closely with other engineers and architects

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil3D
  • Ability to understand and communicate high-level engineering concepts
  • Proven analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Additional software familiarity – Revit, VBA, TR-55, and others
  • Primary focus of study in one of the following disciplines – Site Civil, Transportation or Water Resources
